VW T5 KARMANN MOBIL COLORADO 655 TI RS 1 OF 1 SPECIAL FACTORY PRESS - SHOW VEHICLE 

This special Karmann was built to be Karmann’s own show stopper to parade on their show stands around Europe. This vehicle has also been the star of several photo, T.V shows, you tube videos, Nurburgring ring fastest lap in a motorhome, magazines etc etc. This vehicle is famous and its the only one in the world!

Many things with this one differ from a normal run Karmann Colorado TI so please keep reading. 

This vehicle has appeared in several magazines and on T.V. Sabine Schmitz drove it down the Nurburgring and set the fastest time in a motorhome. Another occasion had the motorhome being cooked in whilst being driven, the idea was to get to the bottom before the meal was cooked. 

As Karmann are a German manufacturer and this was kept as there own for touring Europe this is a Left Hand Drive VW T5 Sportline base vehicle. Then imported into the UK and sold through a Karmann dealer in the North of England 

More on the spec as follows …… 

340 BHP 2.5 Litre TDI engine. The engine with ancillaries have all been breathed on by Zanspeed including uprated injectors, re mapping, Turbo, exhaust with manifold plus the possibility that the engine was taken apart and tuned also (not confirmed but we believe this has happened). Other things were done like the chassis was lowered on this one and the suspension lowered to give a more sportier look / feel. Cab Air Conditioning, electric cab windows and mirrors , 6 speed manual gearbox and 18” split rim alloy wheels

Pioneer head unit which is the heart of an incredible sound system, twin rear Sub Bass speakers, plus mid and front cab speakers. The sound is incredible!! The headhunt also controls Blue tooth, Reversing camera, Radio plus DAB 

This Karmann TI RS set the first world speed record as the faster coach built motorhome

Exterior is a Special Pearl Orange from the factory in places, some or the Orange panels are solid orange. 

All of the original decals are on the exterior of the vehicle with a small number of more recently ones added 

Everything works perfectly in the back and has recently passed a Full Habitation check through. 

To date this vehicle has covered ONLY just over 14,000 miles since new. 

The best way to describe this would be to say it is simply stunning both inside and out  and we would say a must have if its something special and different you are after.

Manufactured in 2005/6, UK registered in at Geoff Cox the Karmann dealer in 2008 when imported
